Skagit Valley Hospital, Mt. Vernon, WA

RPMI provided full service project management for Skagit Valley Hospital’s 220,650sf expansion project, beginning with the procurement of a firm to provide programming / master planning, through to occupancy. RPMI developed procurement documents and contracts, and ran procurement processes for all service providers, developed and managed the project budget and managed all contracts associated with the project.

RPMI spearheaded the State’s approval to use the CM/GC process with a guaranteed maximum price on this project, the first public hospital district in Washington state approved to use this delivery method. The project included a new central utility plant, a 21 bed family birth center, an ER, a 6 OR surgical suite and 92 private patient beds. After the completion of this project, RPMI continued to provide project management services over a period of time to complete various renovation projects within the existing facility.
